Its been a while since my last post, but I promise more to come this week. This is a quick card for The Cuttlebug Spot. We took a month off, but are back with challenges today.  This one is a simple Fathers Day card made with Cricut Holiday Cake Cart. I love the simple layering on these cuts. Its supposed to be used for the Cake machine, but they are compatible with my Expression so I can use them for paper crafts also..yeah....  I hope you have a wonderful week and visit The Cuttlebug Spot for more wonderful projects.

I recently purchased a few of the newly released carts. I think my favorite one is Create a Critter. You will be seeing more of this one. In the mean time I wanted to share 2 cards I made. The first one is the Hedgehog from Create a Critter. Super cute. The base for the card is from Just Because.  The second card is made using the Kiwi cut from Preserves. Double embossed, double the fun. Easter Blessings

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot we are using a double embossing technique to add embossing shapes to a smooth. Be sure to visit The Cuttlebug Spot for the awesome design team creations and also take a look at the video/tutorials to learn about this technique.

This card was completed using the labels thirteen nestabilities just released this month. I love them.  The cross is from my Easter 2010 mini cartridge. I think this is going to become one of my favorite cuts on this cartridge.  As always, thank you for stopping by.

Altered mail box : embossed

Just a quick post this morning. I altered this mail box for our challenge this week at The Cuttlebug Spot. Lots of embossing on this one. I used my Fiskars heart plate to emboss the silver paper. I wanted to keep the metallic look of the box. I hope you enjoy. Have a great week. I will be posting another one tomorrow so make sure you come back to see that one.

If you are new to these boxes, they are sold at Target  for $1.00. Usually out by mid January, so when you see them get them before they are gone. The boxes make great for small gifts. I use them through out the year. Perfect for teacher gifts too.

I was lucky to be invited by my friend Glenda from GlendasCreativeplace.com to this years CHA so of course I had to visit the EK booth and drool over new punches. If you know me, you know how much I love border punches. Here are 2 videos I was able to make while there. Enjoy.
Thank you to Shane from EK Success for a great demo. Lots of fun with these punches. I love that you can punch around a card with the corner one.

Knock Knock

I'm having so much fun with all the new cartridges that have been released by Provo Craft. So many interesting cuts and possibilities. I made this card for my brother and his wife. They have recently purchased their first home. I used Sentimentals for the sentiment, doorknob, and keys.  This card is my contribution for The Gypsy Spot gold and black color challenge.  Go visit and enter for a chance to win a new cart along with some wonderful paper.

Happy Birthday : lots of punches

If you know me from Cricut.com message board, you know how much I love punches.. especially Martha Stewart.  I had to use a couple on this card. The trellis, vine, butterflies, and flowers are all punches from different companies. I used liquid pearls to embellish the butterflies. I love the look o pearls with out the actual pearl on them. As always, I hope you like and thank you for visiting my blog.

Love Struck

I received my new seasonal mini cartridges and cant seem to put this one down. I love the detailed hearts ... although one cut gave me a hard time when lifting off my mat, I absolutely love this cart. Here are some projects. I hope you enjoy them.

This one is one of my favorite cuts.. simple and elegant for my husband

This one is very fragile to lift off the mat.. be careful

I love this box. I embossed acetate to cover the heart opening and then framed it with a nestabilities heart die cut. . The finished box measure  6-1/2 by 4 and 1 inch deep.

This is the mail box... just plain cut and embossed the paper so you can see what the box looks like.. I think this is a wondeful box and need to be cut on sturdy cardstock so it stands up nicely.

Best Wishes. Slim Card

Last year I discovered new stamps and die from Diamond Press. I just love the ease of use of their stamps and dies. I love the variety and...
