This week at The Cuttlebug Spot we were asked to use a sketch for our creation. I love having a sketch for a quick card.  It makes things so much easier. Just chose your paper and stamp for this one.  I chse to make mine for a teacher. The embossing apple folder by Quickutz is perfect for this one along with my PTI Teacher's Apple stamp set. I think I will be making more of these this week for end of the year gifts at my boys' school.

If you had wings.....

what would you be?.. Well I love hummingbirds.. they are so steady when they are eating from a flower or a feeder... I love how their wings flutter. This was my inspiration for this week's card at The Cuttlebug Spot.  I used Quickutz embossing folder titled plants. Stamped some flower images and then embossed. I really like how it turned out after inking. Have a happy Monday.

Post-it®Craft Paper card

Hello. Today I have a quick card I made for The Cuttlebug Spot. We are using Post-it®Brand Craft Paper this week. I  discovered it at Jo-Ann's one day and was curious to see how well it would work. I loved how easy it was to punch and use with my Cuttlebug. Post-it is sponsoring the challenge this week at The Cuttlebug Spot, so go enter for a chance to win your own pack of paper so you can try it.

For this card I embossed the lavender paper then punched 2 ovals with my Stampin up punches for the base of my flowers. I then punched some branches from Martha Stewart branch punch in the purple and lavender.  The sentiment is  from Stampin Up.  Silk roses and leaves found at Jo-Ann's. This card is meant to be hand delivered due to the height of the roses. . but they are so pretty, I couldn't pass them up.

New QuickKutz embossing folders ..

I found these folders while browsing some of my favorite online stores. I got them today and absolutely love them I used this frame to make a quick card and showcase the oval frame. The embossing folder worked great in my Cuttlebug.  I did use a  piece of cardboard..(the backing of a cuttlebug plate package) as a shim to get a better impression. I think this is one of my favorite embossing folders. I will be posting more cards in the coming days with these so stay tuned.  If you are interested in purchasing them, you can get them for a great price at The Scrapping Cottage

Best Wishes. Slim Card
