Altered Frame.

This is a first for me. I made this one for The Cuttlebug Spot. Amazing what you can do with paper, glue and of course an embossing machine.  This is a wood frame from Michael's $ 1.00. I embossed the corners with the corner embossing folders by Provo Craft. The paper is from Core-dinations so I sanded the entire thing to bring out the blue before sealing it with modge podge.  The sentiment is a clear sticker. I love how  this one turned out for being my first altered frame.  Thank you for visiting my blog and have a great day.

     

Another Altered mail box : cricut

Here is my second box. This is for The Gypsy Spot. I used the tree from Heritage and welded two of them to a 4X11.5 rectangle. I then placed that rectangle on light pink cardstock to show through the tree. I inked this one quite a bit with Stampin Up Rich Razzelberry, love that color.  The image on the front of the box is from A Child's Year. I hope you like. :)

Altered mail box : embossed

Just a quick post this morning. I altered this mail box for our challenge this week at The Cuttlebug Spot. Lots of embossing on this one. I used my Fiskars heart plate to emboss the silver paper. I wanted to keep the metallic look of the box. I hope you enjoy. Have a great week. I will be posting another one tomorrow so make sure you come back to see that one.

If you are new to these boxes, they are sold at Target  for $1.00. Usually out by mid January, so when you see them get them before they are gone. The boxes make great for small gifts. I use them through out the year. Perfect for teacher gifts too.

Embossed Paper Bag

This week we are making Christmas boxes, bags, wrappers, etc... at The Cuttlebug Spot. I have been wondering what an embossed paper bag would look like so this was a great opportunity to try. Well the only problem was that I only have brown ones, so I embossed it with a sizzix folder then inked it with gold ink. I did cut 2 inches from the top then punched with my Martha Stewart trellis punch. The centers on the flowers are glitter stickles. I cant wait to try it with colored paper bags. Let me know what you

This week we are making embossed confetti at The Cuttlebug Spot. This is my take for the project. I embossed with the spider web folder then cut the strips. I attached some ovals at the end of the strips with some Halloween words. The lollipops are made with Stampin Up sweet treat cups. I took some vellum and also embossed with the spider web folder and attached as the background to the circle. I really like how they turned out.

My niece will be spending her summer in another country so I wanted her to have something nice to write down her memories. Her favorite color is blue and her name is Stephanie so that was the inspiration for the cover. I used Storybook cartridge for the border, corners, frame, and the letter S. Hope she likes it. I have also decided to enter this project for Todays Mama contest. I found out about this site on my favorite message board: Cricut. Tutorial

Start with a composition book (9.75 x 7.5 inch

cut adhere pattern paper to the cover

trim and sans the corners for a rounded look

You are ready to decorate the cover.

For my cover, I my used Storybook cartridge. Cut the corners by pressing the fancy corner key and chose your style. Mine is from page 60 and cut at 1-1/2 inch

The border is also on the same page, press the Tall/border key, the fit to page key, and cut to fit 7-1/2 inches (it will cut the border at 1-3/4)

The frame is found on page 61. Press you Accent/Frame key and cut at 5 inches

I cut this one on pattern paper and chipboard and glued together.

The letter S was cut at 2-1/2 inches (both pattern and chipboard)

I then covered the letter with Inkssentials glossy accent.

Final embellishments of your choice.

Altered cardboard Houses

This is my latest project. I bought these at Michaels for 2.00 on clearance and had this idea to alter them for home decor. I used Modge on the background paper. The roof on all the houses are embossed with my cuttlebug. I then cut the letters and heart using Plantin cartridge. The words "is where the is" are from OA. All paper is from Provo Craft Slab.

Altered tin and card

Found this tin in my son's room so I decided to alter it. Its the perfect size for a gift card. I am entering this in Arty Girlz Challenge for Recycling. The card is on pre embossed Doodlebug paper. Stamp is stampin up Blooming with Happiness. I colored with souffle pens that give it a 3d effect. Thanks for visiting.
